Maiko Kasai
I went to the solo exhibition “Maiko Kasai,” held at Yuka Tsuruno Gallery in Tennoz.
There were relatively many large works, and they were well worth seeing.
The gallery, too, is spacious and relaxed, with high ceilings and a pleasant atmosphere.
With a distinctive sense of color and touch, her work has an individuality you can recognize at a glance.
You can see poses that make you imagine some kind of story.
Many of the works convey a sense of wind, which is striking.
Her sense of color is wonderfully good.
Small Works
Not only the large works but also the small ones present a distinctive world of their own.

Three works were on display in the small room at the back.
Summary
In color usage, motifs, composition, and more, she gives the impression of expressing her individuality to the fullest. This was my first time seeing her work, but she must be an artist of a high degree of refinement.
It was a shame that the gallery staff were rather unfriendly, but the works had a distinctive flavor firmly of their own, so I enjoyed it very much!
