Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting, Oil Painting Major — 3rd-Year Students Exhibition “Shinkiro”
I visited “Shinkiro,” an exhibition by the third-year students of Tokyo University of the Arts.
On the main floor of the venue, 3331 Arts Chiyoda, a wide variety of works radiating the individuality of the 60 participating artists were on display.
【Shinkiro】
A mirage is a natural phenomenon caused by the reflection of light through different air densities that results in virtual images.
Originating from 60 different viewpoints, each artwork is based on a different concept and conveys different visual messages.
The expressions influence one another, wafting, separating and blending together in the exhibition space in a constant flux.
When you the viewer and the art meet, a mirage will come to emerge in 3331 Arts Chiyoda.
Shinkiro is an unpredictable phenomenon.
What will we see in this shimmering illusion?
There were many artists who caught my attention, and I would like to leave behind as many photographs as I can.

A very well-made pamphlet was being handed out free of charge.
Thank you very much!
