Gemi “To the Place Where the Sky Peels Away”
I visited a solo exhibition by the illustrator Gemi. The venue is The Artcomplex Center of Tokyo in Shinanomachi.

The works are all “acrylic photos,” and the price was uniformly set at 40,000 yen. The editions are not limited — under this system you can order as many copies as you like.

The quality of the acrylic photos is quite good. They have a real thickness, and the surface is clear with a fine texture.

Because they are designed to reflect the lighting slightly, opinion may be divided over them.

The balance between the female figures and the landscapes is exquisite.
