Masami Yanagida & NO PANTIES “LOVE CALL”

I went to the exhibition of “Masami Yanagida,” who has been drawing attention on terrestrial television. The venue is “ROCKET” in Omotesando. It takes the form of a joint exhibition with a unit called NO PANTIES.

Word that the TV personality Naomi Watanabe recommended it seems to have generated quite a buzz. When I visited, there was a line like the one you see here. This is actually the checkout line.

Work Prices

The sale prices of the works are as follows.

  1. Small: 3,000 yen (excl. tax)
  2. Medium: 5,000 yen (excl. tax)
  3. Large: 7,000 yen (excl. tax)

The small-size works were priced with framing included. What a deal!

Most of the works are small size at 3,000 yen (excl. tax).

Even though about 500 works were prepared, customers kept coming from the first day and the pieces sold one after another. Since each work has multiple editions, there is probably a fair amount of stock on hand.

Everything you see here is small size, "3000 yen (excl. tax)."

What is surprising is the sheer breadth of the works. Even with this many, there is almost no duplication, and the number of pieces is remarkable.

With no wall space left to hang them, the sight of works piled up on the floor was spectacular.

Rather than art pieces, they sell like hotcakes with an almost general-goods sensibility. Tempted along, the author too ended up splurging… Even at 3000 yen the price includes framing, which is astonishing (3240 yen including consumption tax).

The works displayed with Hittsuki-mushi are peeled off one after another and sold.
