After a cherry-blossom forecast that arrived earlier than usual, the sakura season began as if timed to a stretch of mild weather. On March 23, 2018, I paid a visit to “MDP GALLERY” in Nakameguro.
MDP GALLERY
“MDP Gallery,” a small gallery just steps from the Meguro River, holds the “Sakura Pink” show as one of its regular fixtures, and 2018 appears to mark its third edition. It was my first time visiting.
Since the works were restricted to the motifs of the color pink and cherry blossoms, it goes without saying that the gallery was brimming with pink patterns.
An installation made with cherry blossoms seems to lift the whole mood in an instant.
Inside, the gallery had the colors and atmosphere of a little cherry-blossom-viewing party.

Our gallery will once again host its customary cherry-blossom-viewing party this year. Everyone is welcome to join. Please bring one drink and one dish to share. Admission is free. Let’s enjoy a pleasant time eating and drinking while gazing at the cherry blossoms blooming in the distance along the Meguro River.
