[Group Exhibition] "Winds of Tohoku IV" @ Isetan Shinjuku Art Gallery

“Winds of Tohoku IV”

“Winds of Tohoku IV” is a group exhibition by young artists who graduated from Tohoku University of Art and Design.

The project is run by Aoyama of Gallery Kunimatsu, and this year apparently marks its fourth edition.

The venue was the “Art Gallery” on the 5th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building.

Photography was not allowed inside the venue, so there are no photos.

The artist I most wanted to see was Kana Inagaki, whose work also sold well at “Art Fair Tokyo 2018.”

Lately she seems to have been developing her work around the motif of “festivals.” She apparently lives in Kumamoto Prefecture now, but I heard she would be present at the gallery during the run.

In the latter half of the run, a live painting session by Inagaki is apparently planned.

*Sat, March 31 and Sun, April 1, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm each day

The work of Taisuke Fujiwara, whom I had also seen at the recent Shutoko exhibition, stayed with me deeply.
