I visited the two-person exhibition by Chisato Tatsumi and Ayako Yonemitsu. It was the final day at The Artcomplex Center of Tokyo. Sales seemed to be going well, with red stickers (sold) affixed to around 60% of the works.
The two artists’ works shared the same space and blended together, and their common worldview seemed to radiate an even more brilliant palette.
The gallery’s audience also belonged to an otaku-culture generation leaning more toward Comiket than fine art. The work appears to be popular with young women.
