kirisAki “Reflection” @ ondo STAY & EXHIBITION
I visited the solo exhibition of illustrator “kirisAki.”
The venue is ondo STAY & EXHIBITION in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa.
Incidentally, I often hit my head at this gallery. The ceiling near the stairs is low, so everyone please be careful…
“kirisAki” is a professional illustrator who has established herself in the field, working on illustrations for the Pokémon Trading Card Game and more.
The theme of this solo show is “Reflection.” Works were exhibited under the theme of “transparency, light, and reflection.”
Four new works
There are four new works. By the time of my visit all of them had already sold — a testament to her popularity.
Earlier work, size 50
The most striking piece was this work. It is the largest, a size-50 canvas.
Alongside her usual sketches and rough drafts on display, live painting was also going to be held during her hours in the gallery.
I visited during the latter half of the exhibition, but the live painting didn’t seem to be progressing much. She must be busy with work.
