MUNCH: A Retrospective
The Munch exhibition opens at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum on October 28, 2018.
With “The Scream” from the Munch Museum in Oslo coming to Japan for the first time and around 100 works assembled, it promises to be a major exhibition. For details please see the link below.

Various “Limited-Quantity” Special Tickets
Same-day general admission is 1,600 yen; advance tickets are 1,400 yen.
For this Munch exhibition, however, a wonderfully creative lineup of promotional tickets is on offer — bundling special items and experiences into good-value sets.

(3) Premium Night Viewing Ticket ~Winter Starry Night~
A ticket to the “Premium Night Viewing” — after regular hours, a limited number of guests may view the Munch exhibition specially at night.
You can also enjoy a mini-lecture (about 15 minutes) by a curator in the auditorium.
In addition to the official catalogue and audio guide, a commemorative goods package available only here is included in the set.

Hours: 18:00–20:30 (final admission 20:00)
Capacity: 650 per day
The mini-lecture is held three times per day in the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum auditorium (each lecture is about 15 minutes with the same content). At the time of ticket purchase, you select the lecture time you wish to attend.

(4) Official Guide & Clear File Set Ticket ※SOLD OUT
It is now sold out, but an official guide plus clear file set ticket was also on offer.
The full package consisted of the “Official Guide (A4, full color, 12 pages),” which explains the exhibition’s structure and highlights; a double clear file (front: “The Scream”; back: “Starry Night”); a special envelope; and the ticket itself — four items in total. Priced at advance rate + 500 yen, this was a high-value, high-satisfaction bundle. Since these promo tickets are limited on a first-come basis, the ones still on sale are also first come, first served.

(5) “Scream Dome” Set Ticket ※SOLD OUT
The masterpiece “The Scream” reimagined as a palm-sized snow globe. Inside the little dome is a three-dimensional scene that looks as though it stepped out of the painting, with snow falling like a winter scene from Munch’s homeland. The item will also be sold at the in-gallery Munch exhibition shop, but you can get it at a discount bundled with an advance viewing ticket. *Images are for illustration. (6) Tie-Up Set Ticket: Munch Exhibition × Ueno Noren-kai
