Daikanyama Photo Fair
The Fine-Art Photography Association (FAPA) is holding the fifth edition of the Daikanyama Photo Fair, centred on Daikanyama Hillside Forum. It runs for three days, from Friday 28 September to Sunday 30 September 2018.

Alongside domestic galleries, bookshops and publishers, new exhibitors from Japan and abroad are joining in, bringing together a wide range of photographic works. Talks, symposia and workshops by curators, photographers and collectors will also be held, offering many ways to enjoy the appeal of photography.

Beyond viewing, works are also for sale, so anyone interested in photography should feel free to drop in.
For those familiar with taking pictures on a smartphone, it should also be a chance to study the craft.
As an art fair devoted to the world of photography, it feels like a place where memorable encounters are waiting to happen.
The list of exhibiting booths includes many prominent gallery names — a fairly enticing line-up.

Below are shots from the 2017 fair. Daikanyama Hillside Forum, the venue, sits next to Tsutaya Books — perhaps an ideal date spot.

A fitting introduction for the artistic season of autumn.
