Geisai — the once-a-year festival at Tokyo University of the Arts. I had the pleasure of attending again in 2018. The main visual was created by Rino Taguchi, a second-year student in the Design Department. The theme is “Flush.”

The 2018 grand prize went to this one — jointly by Design, Aesthetics and Art History, Composition, and Strings.Up until last year there were eight mikoshi, but in 2018 the number was halved to four. I heard the adjustment was made because the shrines had been breaking cherry-tree branches in Ueno Park.
