Ouma Solo Exhibition “Collective Life / Life Continuous”

An exhibition by the cell artist Ouma will be held at “Cité du Temps GINZA.”
This exhibition is organized by the global company “Swatch.”

Ouma, originally from Tokyo and formerly a veterinarian, began her art activities after the death of a patient led her to draw pictures of the deceased animal to send to the family. As a cell artist, she creates works with “cells”—the smallest unit of life—as her theme.
In this exhibition, she uses “cells” as her motif, portraying a world that could be called collective life: individual lives coming together, sometimes cooperating and sometimes clashing, yet forming a single whole.

Swatch has a close relationship with art, continuously supporting art contests and events around the world.
In Shanghai, they operate a facility called “The Swatch Art Peace Hotel” that supports artist activities. Artists selected from around the world live and work in residence there, growing significantly in their artistic careers through events and interactions with other artists.
