Kohei Nawa “#14”
Kohei Nawa, who is currently presenting an extraordinary body of work at SCAI THE BATHHOUSE.
Since a one-week-only exhibition titled “#14” was also on view at “SCAI PARK,” their sister gallery in Tennoz, I paid a visit.
The works on view are mainly past pieces made between 2009 and 2017.
The selection centers on the familiar Direction series and gathers works in a range of subdued, pale tones.
The show is centered on works with a smooth, dry surface texture, and one moves through it lightly, taking it in at a brisk pace.
The airy viewing experience made a striking contrast to the Yanaka show.
