New Works Edition — Consecutive Solo Shows of Past & New Works
I visited a solo show by Wataru Ozu, a graduate of the O JUN Lab at Tokyo University of the Arts. The venue is Bambinart Gallery.

This solo exhibition is presented as a two-part project, with the earlier and later sessions separately showcasing past works and the newest pieces.
This is the second half — the new-works edition.

Wataru Ozu’s paintings really linger with you — I’d been curious ever since seeing the past-works edition, and I’d been driven by the urge to see the new works as soon as possible.

I got the impression that he’s reconstructing motifs from old Western painting in a contemporary key, passing them down to the next generation.
