I visited “Scale,” the 2019 Tokyo University of the Arts Oil Painting Graduation Exhibition held on campus.
Even as students, many members of this cohort have already held solo shows at commercial galleries. It is an exceptionally strong class.
The graduation exhibition was full of impressive, ambitious works.
Fifty-six students, each with their own scale. This article covers about 30 of them.
