Kisaragi Kanae-ten (February Three-Painter Show)

I visited the group exhibition “Kisaragi Kanae-ten,” which brings together three painters — Sohei Iwata, Tokuro Sakamoto, and Takeshi Tanaka.
The venue is the Aoyama gallery “Garou Kunimatsu Aoyama.”

This exhibition consists of one brand-new “No. 30 size” work from each of the three artists, complemented by older pieces.

Takeshi Tanaka, "Washing Away" — M30

Takeshi Tanaka’s nude possesses a superb composition. The title, too, is wonderful!

Sohei Iwata’s No. 30 piece was splendid. It carries a certain grace that demands the right space to be shown in.

Tokuro Sakamoto’s command of light is extraordinary. The staircase piece in particular was highly impressive.

Exhibitions by artists of proven quality are always a pleasure to view with ease.

Naturally, the prices are set accordingly — quite substantial.
