We visited the Hakujitsu-kai exhibition. This is a society with the impressive history of 95 editions, and the venue was The National Art Center, Tokyo.
Ambitious large-scale works filled the galleries wall to wall, making for an exhibition brimming with volume.

The exhibition was centered on portraits of women and landscape paintings, offering many works to take in with the eye.
While the realism of the paintings was striking, the sculptures felt somewhat understated by comparison.
