Klara Kristalova
Klara Kristalova is a sculptor born in Czechoslovakia in 1967 and now based in Sweden.
I paid a visit on opening day as one of my quiet pleasures of Art Fair Tokyo. The gallery presenting her work is the Perrotin booth.

She is a sculptor of international standing, and her prices are, unsurprisingly, quite serious.
Drawings run around 200,000 yen; the smallest sculptures are over one million yen, and medium-sized pieces start from around 1.5 million yen.

She is also collected by Takashi Murakami and has been shown in his collection exhibition held in Japan.

Truly, truly wonderful!
The aura radiating from the work was in a class of its own. Simply superb.
