Kyohei Naito “luna o lunar”

I visited Kyohei Naito’s solo show “Poker-Face,” which was held during Art Fair Tokyo. The venue was “Bambinart Gallery,” located in the basement of 3331 Arts Chiyoda.

Come to think of it, it was around the same time last year, wasn’t it?
He’s an artist whose works sell out completely, so he may well be treasured by the gallery — or so I suspect.

The works made for this show are pure Kyohei Naito world, through and through.

The “dot,” one of the recurring themes in his work, can also be spotted throughout the pieces.

Midway through the run, the show was almost sold out — only the largest piece remained, a testament to its popularity.
You might call it an aesthetic of gaps, or of empty space… His copies are also extraordinarily well done, which is genuinely impressive.

For anyone hoping to add one of his works to their collection, it looks like next time you’ll need to visit early in the run.
