Vienna Modern: Klimt, Schiele, and the Road to the Fin de Siècle
I visited the exhibition “Vienna Modern: Klimt, Schiele, and the Road to the Fin de Siècle,” held in Tokyo. The venue is the National Art Center, Tokyo.

The concurrently held “Klimt Exhibition” also had many goods on display, but this exhibition’s “Vienna Modern Special Shop” entertained us with a display no less impressive. Catalogue
Besides the standard exhibition catalogue “regular edition (¥2,900 incl. tax),” a small-size catalogue called “mini catalogue 1 (¥1,400 incl. tax)” is available.
Postcards
Taking home a favorite postcard and displaying it indoors is also recommended.
There weren’t that many types, but they’re works you’d want to have.

Silver sticky notes
Many original goods are available at this exhibition’s goods shop.
The “gold sticky notes” I paid attention to at the Klimt Exhibition—at the Vienna Modern Exhibition, “silver sticky notes” were sold.
The technically demanding silver sticky notes are made in Japan, a product born in Tokyo’s downtown.
Wine
The very beautiful bottle design is an Austrian white wine. It’s an exhibition-limited label.
It’s a wine born at a winery run by a mother and daughter. It’s a slightly dry wine.
Alphabet mugs
The mugs lined up in a row caught my eye.
Thirty letters of the German alphabet extracted from Vienna fin-de-siècle posters and more are designed onto the mugs.
Each comes with an explanatory card showing the work each letter was extracted from.
Tote bags (14 types) ¥1,620–5,616 (incl. tax)
Many tote bags were available. The count was 14 types in all.
The fabric quality ranged from thin to thick.
Notebooks
The small-size notes were very enjoyable with their many designs.
They’re cute notes that make you want to buy several.
Posters
Egon Schiele’s B2 poster of a “Vienna Secession exhibition” work is nice!
Klimt reproduction prints exceed ¥100,000, but they make you want to display them indoors.

T-shirt (Klimt’s smock)
This is an exhibition-original T-shirt imagining the smock that could be called Klimt’s trademark.
The embroidery on the shoulder is also faithfully reproduced.
A4 folder
Many options of A4-size clear files are available too.
My Melody collaboration goods
Collaboration goods with Sanrio’s popular character My Melody were also sold.
The illustration featuring My Melody, her friend Araiguma-kun (the raccoon), and My Melody’s “self-proclaimed rival” Kuromi is a product drawn specially for this exhibition.
At the special shop, besides the products introduced here with photos, many more are lined up.
