Tadanori Yokoo “B29 and the Primal Land — From Childhood to Warhol”
I visited Tadanori Yokoo’s solo exhibition “B29 and the Primal Land — From Childhood to Warhol.”
The venue is SCAI THE BATHHOUSE, a gallery converted from a former public bathhouse.

I looked up Tadanori Yokoo’s age, and he is 82 (at the time of this exhibition).
The works on view include new pieces from 2019, showing that he is still working energetically today.

Despite being a 2019 solo exhibition — the year the era name changed from Heisei to Reiwa — the show featured many works with motifs that seemed to rewind time, taking war as one of its themes and even bringing in Andy Warhol.
