Size 0 Painting Exhibition

I visited “Size 0 Painting Exhibition,” a special exhibition featuring only small works centered on Size 0 (18×14cm).
The venue is the “Art Gallery” on the 8th floor of Tokyu Department Store’s Shibuya Main Store.

This article will focus on introducing only 2 artists I’m paying attention to, but the group exhibition featured works from various artists.

Ai Kumehara is a Japanese-style painter famous for her plum blossom works.
On the exhibition’s opening day, two works had already been sold and taken home, so they couldn’t be seen.
At department store art exhibitions, unless it’s a DM work, there are cases where same-day purchase and same-day delivery is possible.

Ms. Kumehara herself is currently on a one-year study abroad in Denmark, so it looks like her work releases will be paused for a while.

Yuki Koyano had prepared the most works.

Many works included frames, and since they were small pieces, the prices were affordable throughout the exhibition.
Young customers were seriously considering their choices.
It would be wonderful if such initiatives lead to the development and expansion of the art collector base!
