In Tala Madani’s works, middle-aged, paunchy, balding-looking men frequently appear.
Meanwhile, in her new “Shit Mom” series (2019–), a mother and baby smeared in excrement are depicted. Though the motifs are grotesque, they seem to carry cynical, socially charged messages that draw you into their world.

The short animation works being screened alongside carry the current of painting while also containing quiet, chuckle-inducing elements.
