West Bund Art & Design 2019
We visited the Shanghai art fair “West Bund Art & Design.” The venue is the West Bund Art Center in Shanghai.

“West Bund Art & Design 2019” was held in early November, at the same time as “ART021,” also taking place in Shanghai.
Our report on “ART021” can be read via the link below.
The author visited on November 9, during the public days, purchasing a same-day ticket at the door.

Hall A
West Bund Art & Design is held across two large adjacent venues: Hall A and Hall N.
Since same-day tickets are torn upon entry, they do not permit re-entry. Please be careful.

LEGENDS: WARHOL/BASQUIAT
In one corner of the venue, a two-person exhibition of Andy Warhol and Basquiat organized by Sotheby’s was also on view.
Hall N
Hall N sits directly across the street.

Tomokazu Matsuyama
KOTARO NUKAGA, exhibiting from Japan, presented Tomokazu Matsuyama’s work in a solo-booth format.
Please refer to the article below.
Summary
Compared to ART021, we had the impression that the works on view leaned more toward Europe and America.
The area around the venue is also dotted with several prominent galleries, and the entire district feels saturated with art.
Please note that there are almost no dining options in the immediate vicinity.
