In Atsuko Yamashita’s works, stories revealed only within herself are expressed as paintings.

Held about ten months after her solo show at MAKII MASARU FINE ARTS, planned for January–February 2019, I was intrigued and looking forward to what changes I’d see in Yamashita’s work. Her worldview had shifted from before, and I could feel the story’s progression and the artist’s growth.
