KODAI vol.1
A new project has started in which the artists of the shared studio “STUDIO KODAI” come together for a group exhibition. Conceived as a series, this first edition brings together four artists.

For the previous studio open house at STUDIO KODAI, please see the article below.https://art-on.jp/2019/06/kodai-open-studio2019/
Nami Yokoyama
Nami Yokoyama presents her well-known series of paintings depicting neon tubes.

Keisuke Tada
Keisuke Tada has entered one piece, from the ≪trace/wood≫ series.
The series was unveiled at his solo exhibition at MAHO KUBOTA GALLERY, where he is represented.

Yu Sunaga
Yu Sunaga’s two paintings, rendered with powerful brushwork, belong to his series works — caves and melting canvases.

Takeshi Okumura
Takeshi Okumura’s works are done in acrylic, but the surface is treated so that a thin film appears to peel off like flaking paint, giving them a distinctive skin.

This exhibition will unfold as a series. STUDIO KODAI sits a bit outside Tokyo, so it’s a pleasure to see the works in a convenient central location — it gives us more chances to encounter them.
Please note: no works are for sale on-site. If interested, please inquire directly with each artist.
