Ritsue Mishima “HALL OF LIGHT”
I visited Ritsue Mishima’s solo exhibition “HALL OF LIGHT.” The venue is ShugoArts.

Ritsue Mishima is an artist who lives shuttling between Kyoto and Venice.
Working with the concept of making light into art, she creates transparent glass works at a glass studio on Murano Island in Venice.

The exhibition takes its title “HALL OF LIGHT,” with pedestals prepared by the artist arranged in a circle, creating an installation view in which each work seems to generate its own magnetic field.

You can watch Ritsue Mishima’s production process on a YouTube video.

Despite being made of massive glass, the pieces carry a beauty that flows from smooth curves and the transparency of colorless glass.
