Woodblock Print Works (in cooperation with the Adachi Institute of Woodcut Prints)

For this exhibition, the artist spent one month at the Treadson Bettei in Nikko, where he created a series of drawings. The four woodblock print works presented this time were produced by the Adachi Institute of Woodcut Prints based on that series.

Adachi Hanga has actively promoted collaborations with contemporary art, and as summarized in the article below, they are working to broadly disseminate high-quality print works.

All of the print works in this exhibition were produced by Adachi Hanga, and their quality was extremely high — truly wonderful works. The artist himself was reportedly very satisfied.

Sanya Kantarovsky’s works, with their narrative imagery filled with unease and touches of humor, share affinities with the world of Japanese ukiyo-e. His work has also found support among Japanese collectors, and sales at the exhibition were strong. Almost every piece was sold out by the opening day.
