Hoshiki Ara “Model”
I visited Hoshiki Ara’s solo exhibition “Model.” The venue is hpgrp GALLERY TOKYO.
Hoshiki Ara is a graduate student at Musashino Art University.
The works shown in this exhibition are 100-go S-size — quite large. They may look like digitally processed collages, but every piece is in fact entirely oil paint.
The large scale and the strength of the imagery made the works truly compelling.
Meanwhile, giclée poster prints were also being sold at more approachable sizes.
How his work will evolve from here is something to look forward to — an artist worth keeping an eye on.
