Are you familiar with its limited-edition Year Cup, now an annual tradition?
The Year Cup is a limited cup that can be exchanged for 1 cup on the Soup Stock Tokyo app (180 points) or 1 point card (20 points). By purchasing products throughout the year and accumulating points, applicants are guaranteed to receive the cup as a gift (not available for individual sale).
The project started in 2011, and from 2018 onwards a different artist has been selected every year.
Soup Stock Tokyo is well known as a company whose president Masamichi Toyama is an art enthusiast, so you can really sense the care that goes into this project.

Soup Stock Tokyo “Year Cup 2020”
The 2020 Year Cup was designed by Aoi Huber Kono.
In the 1950s, Aoi Huber Kono worked as a designer under Max Huber, who would later become her husband, while also collaborating with Bruno Munari and others. Her representative works include Naef’s “Animal Puzzle” and the picture books “Fuyu” and “Aidea.” She continues her energetic activities today, based in southern Switzerland.

Since this is an annual tradition, I’m going to eat plenty of soup so that I can exchange for one again in 2021.
