The exhibition title Øth (Zeroth), we’re told, carries two meanings: a zero point, and OTH — “over the horizon.”
This exhibition, comprising works in a variety of formats — box-type series, series depicting imagery drawn from everyday sources such as the internet, magazines, and film, self-portraits, and paper collages — is made up entirely of new works from 2020.

Ataru Sato’s works are painted with motifs that are strongly personal in feel.
His distinctive brushwork and the works minutely rendered in pencil seem to speak to the viewer with an intense force.
