Izumi Kato, “Ukiyoe Preview”
I visited Izumi Kato’s solo exhibition “Ukiyoe Preview.” The venue is PERROTIN TOKYO in Roppongi.

This exhibition centers on Izumi Kato’s print works.
Some of the works planned for his upcoming exhibition in New York this autumn were also on view.

Idem Paris
Izumi Kato’s print works have, until now, been produced mainly at the lithography studio “Idem Paris” in Paris, France.

Adachi Institute of Woodcut Prints
In addition to Idem, this exhibition presented new woodblock works by the Adachi Institute of Woodcut Prints, famous for the multi-color woodblock printing tradition represented by Japanese ukiyo-e.

All the works were also available for purchase, and sales appeared to be going well.
Other
Beyond the print works, a number of sculptural pieces were also on display.
