I visited GLOBAL POP UNDERGROUND, a group exhibition curated by NANZUKA, a contemporary art gallery in Shibuya.
The venue is PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO on the 4th floor of Shibuya PARCO.
A seven-meter-tall “Sexy Robot” also appeared in the ground-floor space of Shibuya PARCO.Installation view
Following the concept of “Tokyo Pop Underground,” which toured the Jeffery Deitch galleries in NY and LA last year, this exhibition brings together 21 artists represented by NANZUKA — including Hajime Sorayama and Javier Calleja — reframed through the lens of the “Underground.”

An all-star group exhibition by a gallery with a powerful roster of artists — currently one of the most propositional and commercially capable galleries out there.
