Our Stories: Connecting, Weaving My Story
We visited “Our Stories: Connecting, Weaving My Story,” a group exhibition by four female artists. The venue was Spiral Garden.

Erina Matsui
Among the four participating artists, it was Erina Matsui who made use of Spiral’s atrium to install a massive installation work.

Cast as Giverny — the site made famous by Monet’s Water Lilies — the piece superimposes the artist herself, dressed as an axolotl, over the figure of Monet.

The giant axolotl was designed to be inflated by pumping in air.

A viewing experience thoroughly worthy of Erina Matsui — a space that repaid every moment of attention.
