TIDE “DEBUT”
I visited the first solo exhibition following the renaming from IDETASUHIRO to TIDE. The venue was Gallery COMMON in Jingumae.
TIDE has been creating monochrome works since 2009, and in recent years his cat-themed pieces have gained popularity both in Japan and abroad.
During the exhibition period, on October 3, 2020, one of his works fetched a hammer price exceeding 50 million yen at the SBI Art Auction, drawing significant attention. * Amount includes buyer’s premium
With the exhibition period spanning only ten days, the venue was bustling with many visitors.
