Ayako Rokkaku “Magic Hand”
Ayako Rokkaku’s (rokkakuayako) solo exhibition “Magic Hand” has opened. The venue is Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art.
For this exhibition, a range of original merchandise has been planned and put on sale, offered at a pop-up museum shop set up within the venue.
Postcards (550 yen)
A museum-shop staple, the postcards come as a three-piece set of shaped cards drawn from motifs in the War of the Worlds series.
Large bandana (6,000 yen)
The large bandana measures a generous 750mm × 750mm.
It could look great framed and hung on the wall!
Limited-edition poster (3,850 yen)
The single most popular item was the 1,000-copy limited-edition poster.
Sales were capped at three per person, but the 100-copy signed edition (11,000 yen) sold out almost immediately.
Flower vase (8,250 yen)
Limited to one per person was the flower vase by SeeSee.
This is an item by SEE SEE, a homeware brand carrying on the traditional craft of “Shizuoka Hikimono.”
Other
Alongside the above, floating pens, puffy stickers, and konpeito candy — all expressing Ayako Rokkaku’s worldview — were on sale.
To mark this exhibition, collaboration items with BEAMS are also planned for later sale at BEAMS CULTUART and BEAMS Chiba, including apparel such as hoodies, long-sleeve T-shirts, caps, and a variety of small goods.
