Jigomoya, a recommended soba restaurant in Karuizawa
Among the Karuizawa area, where many soba restaurants are scattered, this is the one I recommend most.
I’ve brought many of the artists exhibiting at biscuit gallery karuizawa here, and everyone has been satisfied.

Jigomoya (Miyota)
The restaurant is located along the Asama Sunline in the Miyota area, away from central Karuizawa.
Despite being somewhat far, it is always bustling with customers who come seeking its taste.
In the busy season, in addition to the usual parking lot, a temporary lot is set up, but even so there are times when cars that can’t park form a line. Please note it can only be reached by car.
When entering, use the ticket machine at the entrance to input the number of people and your preferred table, then take a numbered ticket and wait for your number.
In winter it’s tables or tatami seating inside, but in summer the terrace seats have a great view and are recommended.

Orders are placed from the terminal installed at each table.
The menu recommendation is, above all, the “walnut-sauce soba.”
It’s a cold mori soba that comes with two kinds of dipping sauce: the usual soba broth and a walnut sauce.

Walnut-sauce soba (¥1,380)
The ice-cold soba has a firm texture and is truly delicious.
Whenever I stay in Karuizawa I always go, and they always serve the same delicious soba.

The soba is locally produced. You can also add a refill of soba.

Also recommended: the mini tendon

You can drink in the evening (and at midday too).
The recommended dessert is the “homemade soba-tea pudding.”
The evening service, which can be reserved, also has a rich à la carte selection so you can enjoy drinks at a leisurely pace.

The à la carte dishes are also high quality, giving the satisfaction of “soba drinking.”
To the question “What is the most recommended restaurant in the Karuizawa area?”, Jigomoya is the name I bring up first.
Do experience its taste.
