You remove your clothing, put on something like a fleece poncho with only your head out, and sit on a chair.
The treatment has you sit on a specially designed chair or box, exposing your lower body to the steam of medicinal herbs. The steamed herb vapor rising from beneath the chair is brought into direct contact with your skin, taking that steam into your body.
The herbs are blended according to each individual’s condition.
Your body gradually warms and you perspire.
This is said to have effects that promote relaxation and mental healing.
In my case, my skin condition changes dramatically after the treatment, so I was quite surprised after the very first session.
Mugwort and other medicinal herbs, mixed with herbs, are used.
