[Karuizawa Area Gourmet] Auberge du Gourmand (Miyota)

【軽井沢周辺グルメ】オーベルジュ・デュ・グルマン(御代田)

I’d like to introduce “Auberge du Gourmand,” a restaurant along the Mikage Yōsui canal in Miyota.
I’d used it for lunch before, but this time it was for dinner.

The exterior. The dining space is on the second floor, so you can see the Mikage Yōsui scenery through the windows.

This restaurant serves French cuisine, such as buckwheat galettes, wheat crêpes, and traditional regional dishes from various parts of France.
The dinner menu is a reserved course, and you can choose between two courses—galette or French.
This time I had the French course; the dishes were as follows.

Miyota-grown “Hoshi to Hachi Melon” with Spanish jamón serrano

Suyo cucumber charlotte; tartare of Joetsu sweet shrimp and Japanese scallop; white eggplant, caviar-style

Grilled edamame potage

Poêlé of Niigata sea bream; Shinshu mushroom bourguignon; mussel cream sauce

Currant granité

Confit of Shinshu Taro Pork; gratin dauphinois and ratatouille; homemade grain-mustard sauce

Mr. Sato’s cassis and white-peach éclair

Depending on the table, you can dine with your dog.
Staying overnight is also possible, so I felt you can spend a relaxed time here.
Among what I had this time, the “Suyo cucumber charlotte; tartare of Joetsu sweet shrimp and Japanese scallop; white eggplant, caviar-style” was to my taste.
Every dish was delicious, and it became a very satisfying dinner!

I’d be delighted if this post becomes an occasion for you to visit.
