Hello, everyone!
This is Yoshii, staff at biscuit gallery karuizawa.
This time, I’d like to introduce “jord Y farm kitchen,” located on the first floor of our facility, still.
It’s the third establishment counting from the left of the still entrance, a restaurant.
I’d be delighted if this post becomes an occasion for you to visit.

The exterior of the shop. It’s a bright space with natural light coming through the windows.
This shop is operated by Karuizawa’s Yanagisawa Farm, where you can taste vegetables from their own farm.
The menu includes Danish traditional dishes such as smørrebrød (open sandwiches), as well as pasta, roast beef, and risotto.
Using fresh vegetables, returning the resulting waste to the soil, and growing vegetables again—they aim to be a circular restaurant.

The interior. There are five table seats, so you can enjoy your meal at a relaxed pace.
Orders are placed online by scanning the QR code on the menu at your table.
If you have no means to scan the QR code, verbal ordering is also possible.
The lunch set I had this time comes with a main dish plus salad, soup, and a drink. You can also add a dessert set.
For the detailed menu,see here.
Below are the dishes I had this time.

The appetizer salad. It’s vividly colorful with red cabbage, tomatoes, and more.

The appetizer soup. A minestrone with root vegetables.

The main pasta. I ordered the cream pasta with prosciutto and pumpkin.

The dessert set’s tiramisu. The set drink, coffee, was served at this timing.
The “cream pasta with prosciutto and pumpkin” had rich cream, and I polished it off in no time.
The menu offered differs by season, with dishes using seasonal vegetables lined up.
I thought the appeal is being able to fully savor the deliciousness of vegetables depending on the time.
Dinner requires a reservation, offering courses of meat/fish dishes and vegetables.
I’d love to visit again next time!

Next, I’d like to deliver the view from the gallery.
Today, Thursday December 5, the high is 9°C and the low is -3°C.
It’s a winter day where the high doesn’t even reach 10°C, but the sunlight streaming into the gallery feels warm.
Outdoors, the wind makes it chilly, so warm clothing is best.

Look forward to the next post too!
Thank you for your continued support.
