Mark Manders “Silent Studio”
I visited the solo exhibition “Silent Studio” by Mark Manders (born 1968).
True to its title, the space unfolded as if wrapped in the atmosphere of a studio, veiled in thin sheets of vinyl.
Signature works by Manders, including his bronzes, were on display — and since this is a gallery, they are available for purchase! An exhibition guaranteed to excite any collector.
That said, the prices are considerable. Even the more modest works start at just over €20,000, with the top-tier pieces reaching several hundred thousand euros — quite astonishing.
The space, presented as an installation, was enveloped in a quiet, solemn atmosphere — a rare opportunity to fully savor the stage of a solo show that is seldom encountered elsewhere.
