I visited “Mofumofu Exhibition,” a group show on the theme of animals by five fourth-year students from the Tokyo University of the Arts oil painting department. The venue is the curry restaurant “Lucky” in Nezu. Exhibitions at cafés are common, but shows held in a curry shop must be rather rare.

Aoi Furuya is an artist who often paints flowers as her motif.
Animals appear as well, but the works read more like landscape paintings that include grasses and flowers.
I was struck by both artists’ works back at the “Shinkirou Exhibition” during their third year at Geidai.
Because it is a small shop, the exhibition space isn’t especially large.
